Movies come out year after year, sometimes they’re better than the year before, sometimes they’re worse. Though in 2015, there were  a number of great movies that came out.

The following is our list of top ten movies of 2015.

10. Spectre

A message from James Bond’s (Daniel Craig) past send him on a mission to uncover a sinister organization and peels back the truth behind SPECTRE.

9. Furious 7

Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) seeks revenge against Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel) for his brother (Luke Evans) who is in a coma in the hospital. This film broke records in both opening night as well as dvd/bluray release. As well as a remembrance for the late Paul Walker.

8. The Martian

On a mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) get left behind as his crew presumes him dead and heads back to Earth. Though, Watney did not die and has to survive until his crew returns to save him.

7. Maze Runner: Scorch Trials

After escaping the maze in the first film, the Gladers have a new set of adventures as they run through the desert and have other obstacles to get through.

6. Kingsman: The Secret Service

The spy organization recruits a street kid into the organization, who then proves his new ways as a global threat emerges.

5. Ex Machina

A young programmer (Domhall Gleeson) is selected to participate in the experimental research of Artificial Intelligence by evaluating the human like creation of the new A.I.

4. Ant-Man

Cat burglar Scott Lang must learn to dive into his inner hero and embrace the technology that turns him into an ant like creature with the same strength as a human being, by helping his mentor Hank Pym on a heist that will save the world.

3. Jurassic World

New amusement park built on the original Jurassic Park lot, everything is running smoothly until their newest attraction breaks loose and runs havoc over the park.

2. Spy

A CIA analyst (Melissa McCarthy) who sticks to a desk job, volunteers to go undercover and take down the world’s deadly arms dealer and prevent a global catastrophe.

1. Mad Max: Fury Road

A woman (Charlize Theron) rebels against a ruler in a post-apocalyptic world in search for her homeland. She has help of a group of female prisoners, a worshiper of the ruler (Nicholas Holt), and a drifter named Max, (Tom Hardy). This film also won best film of the year.


There you have it, the top movies of 2015. There were many other films that came out that were very great, but just were not good enough to make the cut. As honourable mention, just over a week away, the new Star Wars: Episode VII, The Force Awakens is due out on December 18th.
