New from the producers of Get Out and Happy Death Day comes a twisted little tale called MA starring Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water, Hidden Figures, The Help), as a cell phone wielding maniac for some underage teens and co-stars Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers, Cape Fear, Conviction). After some underage teens ask a stranger at a local store to buy them alcohol, quickly they appear to get more than they bargained for with an invite back to her house to party. With taglines such as “It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere” and “The Bar Is Open,” you just know there will be trouble. They also have a few simple rules they must follow like “Never Go Upstairs” and “Call Her Ma”. At first, it seems great, but the teens are soon tormented by videos taken of them when blacked out from too much partying to waking up with cuts and gashes. The trailer also begins to showcase, in true Blumhouse fashion, a lot of blood, bodies, and twists piling up when the teens attempt to call it quits. MA hits theaters this May!
